Initial consultation
Prior to meeting one another, we have an important step to meet. We ask all our clients to fill out a questionnaire so we have no time wasted. This gives us an opportunity to have a sound understanding of what the client wants, and how we can achieve it. When we meet we discuss the overall layout of the design, what the client envisions and the construction process from our end. We want to make sure we answer all the important questions and clear any unknowns, prior to moving forward on to our quotation stage. During this stage we will present a preliminary agreement which will outline the process for quoting, construction and how any variations are handled throughout the build.
Design
We have our own trusted designers we work with, however we always love the opportunity to work with any designers and architects that our clients engage with. We are willing to work with your designer of choice right from the start to ensure you create the vision you want within your target budget.
Permit and approvals
Once you have finalised your architectural drawings, we can help you put together all requirements to get your permits / approvals to get your building out of the ground. Just some of the requirements to get construction commenced are structural engineering, civil engineering (drainage), soil report, energy efficiency report, land surveyors check survey and council property information. These are your most common requirements and depending on the build and location, other requirements will need to be met / provided before commencement of works.
Quoting
At Kew Build we don’t operate off sq/m rate estimating or use cookie cutter quoting programs to give quotes to our clients. We ask for up to 30 days to complete a professional detailed quote assuring that on completion we aren’t leaving any stone unturned. We engage with all of our trusted trades and suppliers ensuring that we come up with an exact cost for our clients project prior to commencing and signing contracts. This gives our clients trust that there won’t be any hidden costs throughout the process of the build.
Contracts
Once we have completed the quoting stage and it has been accepted, we prepare contracts prior to commencement of construction. All projects must be contracted to ensure both parties have a sound understanding of what is expected from one another throughout the process of the build.
Construction
Let the fun begin! With all permits/approvals finalised we now take the stress out of your hands and do what we do best. We take full control of the process and break ground at our first opportunity. We endeavour to maintain consistent communication with our clients with regular updates and scheduled site visits with your project manager or builder.
